Have you ever wrote a bucket list? There is lots of power in a bucket list

A couple of years after my fortieth birthday, things were not going great for me. I was tired, haggard looking, my skin was no longer bright, my smile was gone and I began to lose my hair rapidly. I remember looking into the mirror and not recognizing who was looking back at me. I was scared that I would never love and respect that person again. I truly was hating what was looking back at me, but I told nobody my feelings. I played along to the world as if my life was perfect but inside I was dying, scared and sociably becoming disconnected to the outside world. So what happened? how did I change this on that cold March day?

Until we create a list how will we know our true desires, do you know what lights you up?

I decided to do a vision board. But this board was different. It was a bucket list. I had a system and I never dreamed in my wildest dreams that I would have done all the extremely awesome things that I posted on that board that day. It included things like snowboarding, berry picking and skating again. Can you remember some of those awesome things you did as a child?

I remember having so much fun berry picking and trouting with family and friends. Back those days they were our playdates. When I did this list I had to research dates, locations and costs. I did up a big calendar with the dates of all those amazing things I missed so much. As I started crossing them off the list it became so powerful and fun. I started noticing that anything new that I did became one more thing off my bucket list. I realized it was about accomplishing, excitement and measurable goals. This bucket list made me feel alive. I just loved cutting the pictures out, gluing them to bristol board and then writing them on my list. It made me finally feel alive again. I knew then I had so much to live for. Life became exciting, my skin started to glow and my smile became wider every day.

Today, I would love to encourage you to think and write a bucket list and leave some room for those exciting adventures that you may do without it being on the list. From my experience I found that one adventure fell into another and the possibilities became endless. If you are interested in receiving extra encouragement, motivation and inspiration towards achieving your goals, dreams and ambitions then please contact me. I would love to chat more.
